Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Alexsnet and its products (including StockFBA) read from Amazon, what we do with it, and how we protect it. It's written in plain English and matches what we declared to Amazon when we registered as a Selling Partner API developer.
Operator: Alex Medin DBA Alexsnet, 1441 Plunkett St, Hollywood, FL 33020, United States. Contact: alex@alexsnet.com.
What we read from Amazon
StockFBA connects to your Amazon Selling Partner account through Amazon's official Selling Partner API. With your authorization, we read seller-side data only:
- Product catalog data — SKUs, ASINs, FNSKUs, titles, attributes
- FBA inventory levels (available, reserved, inbound, researching, unfulfillable) per fulfillment center
- Inbound FBA shipment status and history
- Listing prices
- Sales and order history, aggregated to seller-side metrics
- Fee statements and financial events — referral, FBA fulfillment, monthly storage, settlements
- Brand Analytics aggregate sales and inventory data
- Seller account performance metrics
We do not read or store any buyer Personally Identifiable Information (PII). We do not request Amazon's Restricted Data Permissions role, so buyer names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses are inaccessible to us by design.
What we use the data for
- Forecast demand and recommend restock quantities
- Compute true per-SKU landed cost — unit cost + inbound shipping + repack materials + repack labor + Amazon fees
- Track inbound FBA shipments through their lifecycle, including a hand-prep stage between supplier delivery and Amazon dispatch
- Surface account-health context alongside inventory recommendations
- Identify slow-moving SKUs ahead of Amazon's long-term storage fee cliff
We do not use your data to train machine learning models that benefit other customers, sell or rent it, share it with advertisers, generate cross-seller comparisons, or use it for any purpose beyond running your authorized seller's StockFBA account.
How we store and protect the data
- Encryption at rest: AES-256 in production cloud storage; FileVault disk encryption in development.
- Encryption in transit: All API calls to Amazon and all traffic between you and StockFBA use TLS.
- Credentials: Refresh tokens are stored in a managed secrets vault in production and a mode-0600 file in development. Never committed to source control, never hard-coded, never shared in plaintext.
- Access control: Access to Amazon data is restricted by job duty. Only systems and people that need a piece of data to run your account can reach it.
- Network controls: Production infrastructure runs behind firewalls with intrusion detection and anti-malware controls. Network segmentation isolates customer data from public endpoints.
- Password policy: Operator accounts require a 12-character minimum password, multi-factor authentication, 365-day expiration, and annual rotation.
How long we keep the data
We retain your Amazon data while your StockFBA subscription is active. If you cancel your subscription or send us a deletion request, we delete it within 30 days. Send deletion requests to alex@alexsnet.com from the email address associated with your account.
Who we share it with
No outside parties. We do not share your Amazon data with third-party analytics platforms, marketing tools, data brokers, or any other organization.
The only exception is when we are legally required to disclose data in response to a valid subpoena or court order. If that ever happens, we will notify you unless prohibited by law.
Where the data is stored
Production data lives on US-based cloud infrastructure. Development data sits on developer workstations with full-disk encryption.
Security incidents
We maintain a written incident response plan with defined roles, six-month reviews, and
a 24-hour notification window. For incidents involving Amazon data, we report to
security@amazon.com and to affected customers within 24 hours of detection.
Brand Analytics specifically
Brand Analytics aggregate data is used strictly for the authorized seller's own inventory and forecasting features. It is never used for cross-seller comparison, competitive intelligence, model training that benefits other customers, or resale. This use aligns with Sections 4.4 and 4.5 of Amazon's Acceptable Use Policy.
Your rights
You can:
- Ask what Amazon data we have stored for your account
- Ask us to delete it within 30 days, as described above
- Revoke StockFBA's access to your Amazon Selling Partner account at any time through your Seller Central account — access ends immediately when you do
Email alex@alexsnet.com to exercise any of these rights.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that affects how we handle your data, we will notify the email address associated with your account at least 30 days before the change takes effect. The current version is always available at https://alexsnet.com/privacy/.
